Looking for some solitude? Look no farther!

What is the Rolla Ranch Retreat?
The Rolla Ranch Retreat, owned by Wayne Sawchuk and Donna Kane, offers a quiet, creative space to focus and unwind. The ranch is located 2.4 kilometers from Rolla, which is in turn located 25 kilometers northeast of Dawson Creek BC. Rolla is home to a post office, convenience store and cafe.
The house is well set-up (see photos below), with excellent appliances, plenty of office space, spare bedrooms, and amazing views of the sky, moon, and stars. Northern Lights viewing right from your window is a distinct possibility!
There are extensive libraries for your use ranging from poetry, fiction, non-fiction, science, and exploration.
The opportunity comes with a few responsibilities
- You will need to take care of our two friendly housecats, Thomas and Cleo.
- The ranch is also home to a pack string of 24 horses. You will need to keep an eye on the herd and while a farrier will check the horses once every week or so, you may need to open gates so the horses can access hay bales set out in the various pastures. Wayne will provide directions for this.
Dates
Dates are somewhat flexible and will be finalized after discussions with applicants.
Criteria
- Applicants must be reliable and conscientious
- Couples are eligible to apply
